CREATIVE LAUNDRY DAY

Help Create a One-Day Sculpture for Worcester's Elm Park!

Friday, August 14, 2009, 9am-3pm, FREE

(Rain Date: Fri., Aug.21)

Where: Entrance to Elm Park, Corner of Russell & Elm Streets in Worcester, MA
What: A hands-on community artistic response to the Art in the Park
sculptures!
Who: All ages: kids, seniors, families, students — come for an hour or stay all day!

Presenters: Saori Worcester Weaving Studio, local artist Susan Champeny,

    Worcester Art Museum and the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center

           

Activities:
1) Creating Totem Poles of plastic plates and cups with Susan Champeny Art Studio
2) Freestyle Hand-Weaving and Japanese Paper-Dyeing with Saori Worcester

3) “Make Your Mark” Printmaking with Worcester Art Museum

Everything comes down by 3pm! You can take home anything you've made yourself!
