Japan Festival Boston Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th
Japan Festival Boston is a yearly “Matsuri” or Japenese-style street festival at Boston Common. The first day will be filled with food and the second day there will be a kids corner, performances, wokshops, vendors, raffles and silent auctions. Mihoko will be representing SAORI Worcester Weaving Studio on Sunday with a booth! Come on by, say hello, and enjoy Japan Festival Boston!

Seed to Fashion
Mihoko recently received a project grant from the Worcester Arts Council to host a six week course focused on growing indigo, dying fabrics with the indigo and weaving from the dyed fabrics. Details on this will be coming soon! If you’re interested in learning more you can check out the event page here.
The first workshop will begin on May27th (Sun.) at Winslow Park (Corner of Pleasant and Winslow) from 3-5pm. We will be planting the Indigo Seeds this day. Rain day will be inside of the studio. Anybody welcome to come watch this first day!

Weaving Workshop at deCordova Sculpture Park on Access Day!
Access Day is August 15th, 2018. Time TBD.
Access day is a day that is wheelchair accessible at the park! Mihoko will bring her wheelchair accessible loom and people can make a SAORI woven bracelet.
All are welcome! No weaving experience necessary; participants at all levels invited. All materials provided.
